A Major Milestone & Expanding Our Bespoke Services

2025 marked a huge achievement for Automotive Addiction as we proudly surpassed 1,000 vehicles sold since starting in 2015, a milestone that reflects the trust, loyalty and continued support of our incredible customers. Reaching this figure has been a defining moment in our journey and a clear sign that our approach to presentation and customer experience continues to resonate!

Alongside this achievement, we’ve significantly expanded our offerings, introducing a growing range of bespoke in-house services. These now include modifications & enhancements, security upgrades, ceramic coatings and now professional paint protection film (PPF) installations. The introduction of in-house PPF services coincided with our move to our current bespoke premises in June 2024, allowing us to deliver an even higher level of control, quality and craftsmanship. Originally offered exclusively as an optional service for vehicles we were selling, but it is now available to all customers, regardless of where their vehicle was purchased!

Building the Future

2025 has been a landmark year behind the scenes. We’ve seen major unit development take shape, laying the groundwork for what’s to come. Our new booths are currently under construction, alongside this a brand-new roof has been installed on our connecting unit which will become our showroom!

2026 will be the year Automotive Addiction becomes hopefully fully operational in our new premises, and we’re counting down the days until we can finally unveil everything with a grand reveal. Growing Online

2025 has also been a huge year for Automotive Addiction online, with our social media continuing to grow at an incredible pace.

Our YouTube channel surpassed over 1 million total views this year, while also reaching 4,500 subscriber. Meanwhile, our TikTok presence went from strength to strength, hitting over 11,000 followers and continuing to generate strong engagement across our short form content.

Our content is constantly evolving, higher production quality, deeper storytelling and even more insight into the automotive industry! With new facilities, bigger projects and more exciting vehicles on the horizon, 2026 is set to be our biggest year yet for content, and there’s plenty more to come.

What Sets the M2 CS Apart From the Standard M2?

Let’s start with the basics. The 2025 M2 CS builds upon the solid foundation of the already potent G87 M2, which arrived on the scene in 2022 and is itself no slouch. Many BMW fans thought a hotter Competition variant would be the next model to top the M2 range, but BMW has seemingly skipped this step and gone straight for the full fat M2 CS instead.

The CS badge was first applied to the back of a BMW in 2005, where it featured on the rump of an E46 generation M3, where the formula was to take the best bits of the ultra-hardcore CSL and apply them in a more usable package. Since then, the CS badge has always been an indicator of something special and the latest M2 variant continues the theme. 

Priced at £86,800 the M2 CS is £18,095 more than the standard M2, but you do get a host of powertrain and chassis upgrades to complement its more aggressive aesthetic, which includes a deeper front bumper and splitter as well as stripped back kidney grilles and a ducktail bootlid. 

As with previous CS models such as the old M2, the previous generation M5 and the current M3 and M4, there is a noticeable power increase. Compared to the standard M2’s 473bhp and 600NM of torque, the CS’s S58 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six engine is packing a visceral 526bhp and 650NM. That’s a full 82bhp more than the old M2 CS, a car that was hardly lacking in white knuckle inducing performance.

These new figures are produced by the CS’s pair of mono-scroll turbochargers, a 350-bar injection system and variable valve and camshaft timing. To ensure durability, the straight-six gets a closed-deck crankcase and a forged crank, and there’s an iron coating on the cylinder bores. The cylinder head, meanwhile, has a 3D-printed core, and the oil system has been designed to work with the high cornering and acceleration loads the CS can generate. There’s also unique throttle mapping across all the drive modes.

The brawnier engine can propel the M2 CS from zero to 62mph is just 3.8s – two tenths faster than a regular M2 Comp and 0.4s faster than the old M2 CS – with zero to 124mph completed in just 11.7s. Keep the loud pedal flat to the floor and, because the M Driver’s Pack comes as standard (a £9,500 option on the M2) the CS will top out at 188mph. A titanium exhaust system is available as an option through BMW’s M Performance parts catalogue for those who prefer the straight six’s histrionics turned up to eleven.

This blistering performance is delivered to the rear wheels via an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox with paddle shift – sorry manual lovers, there’s no stick shifting option for the CS, unlike the regular M2. 

But the CS doesn’t just add power. BMW has focused on the full performance package: weight has been reduced by 30kg over the standard M2 through extensive use of carbon fibre (including the roof, rear diffuser and the ducktail boot lid, as well the centre console); the chassis has been sharpened with bespoke springs and dampers that sit the CS’s ride height 8mm lower; and the adaptive suspension features Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes while the electronically controlled limited-slip differential has been recalibrated for track-focused driving. There are other toys to play with if you find yourself on a circuit, such as a ten-stage M Traction Control system and a Drift Analyser, which sounds like sideways sliding fun to us!

There’s also a set of exclusive lightweight forged wheels finished in matt Bronze and shod in Michelin Cup 2 tyres, giving the CS serious track-day credibility. The brakes have been upgraded too, with optional carbon-ceramic rotors, an option often reserved for much more exotic machines.

Inside, the M2 CS retains the well laid out digital cabin of the regular M2 but adds unique electrically controlled and heated carbon bucket seats, an Alcantara trimmed flat-bottom steering wheel, and plenty of CS-specific styling cues, while the muscular exterior can be ordered with paint finishes including Sapphire Black metallic, BMW Individual Velvet Blue metallic, M Brooklyn Grey metallic or M Portimao Blue metallic.

How Does It Compare to Its Rivals?

The Audi RS3 remains a more accessible entry point into the world of high-performance compacts. With its five-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering 401bhp and quattro all-wheel-drive, it’s grippy, quick, and effective in all conditions. However, the RS3 doesn’t offer the same level of driver engagement as the M2 CS.

The Audi is more comfortable, more usable year-round, and easier to drive fast in poor weather. But if your metric is driver connection and dynamic purity, the RS3 can’t match the M2 CS’s RWD layout and track-tuned setup.

The M2 CS is also significantly more expensive, pushing into £90,000 territory, while a well-optioned RS3 sits closer to £65,000. That’s a large gap, and one that’s hard to ignore if you’re focused on value.

What about the M3 and M4?

Here’s where things get interesting. The M3 Competition and M4 Competition share the same S58 engine, and in xDrive spec, they offer better traction and marginally quicker straight-line performance. But they’re also larger, heavier, and notably more expensive.

A similarly specced M4 Competition with carbon ceramic brakes and lightweight wheels will set you back well into the £95,000-£100,000 range. And although the M4 offers more cabin space and comfort, it’s arguably less playful than the M2 CS. The smaller footprint of the M2 CS makes it more nimble, and its lower weight gives it a more responsive feel on twisty roads and technical circuits.

So, while the M3 and M4 are undoubtedly more grown-up performance cars, the M2 CS might actually be the more engaging and fun option – at a lower price point.

Is It Worth the Premium Over the Regular M2?

The standard M2 remains one of the best enthusiast bargains on the market, especially with a manual transmission. It delivers serious performance and classic M-car vibes for around £65,000.

The CS version, at nearly £20,000 more, is harder to justify purely on paper. But the upgrades are substantial: the improved chassis, weight reduction, better brakes, and more powerful engine make it feel like a different car, not just a tarted-up trim level.

If you’re someone who values track time, handling finesse, and the finer points of driver engagement, the CS is likely worth the stretch. However, if your driving is 90% road and 10% spirited backroad fun, the standard M2 gets you most of the way there for significantly less.

The 2025 BMW M2 CS hits a rare performance sweet spot: more special and capable than the regular M2, but less compromised and expensive than the hardcore M4 CSL or fully-loaded M4 Competition. Against rivals like the Audi RS3, it offers a purer, more focused driving experience – albeit at a higher price.

For enthusiasts who want the essence of M in a compact, rear-drive package – without the weight or cost of the larger M cars – the new M2 CS might just be the best M car you can buy today.

So much so, you could cut us open and we’d have the iconic four-ringed logo running through us like the lettering in a stick of Blackpool rock! So when it was announced there was to be a new ultra-limited version of the range-topping RS6 super estate being launched, we knew this was a car we needed to get our hands on. The problem is, it’s numbers are so limited, that Audi won’t let just anyone buy one…

The story of Automotive Addiction’s obsession with the Ingolstadt-based brand began with its founder Dhyllan Bhadal or, more precisely, his Mum. As the owner of a relatively humble white Audi 90 back in the 1990s, it was her car that would ferry an impressionable Dhyllan to school and back, as well as out on day trips with the family.

This connection was what formed his love for not only Audis, but cars in general. Of course, it didn’t hurt that, at the time, Audi was dominating the American IMSA Sportscar Championship in a wild 90-based GTO racecar driven by motor racing legends such as Hurley Haywood and Walter Rohrl.

Built upon a lightweight spaceframe chassis with ridiculously wide arches, white wheels and a 720bhp 2.2-litre turbocharged five-pot engine, it was a fearsome machine with an eye-catching Audi Sport livery of white with red, black and grey stripes. While not quite the same as the car he admired on the racetrack, in a young Dhyllan’s head, his Mum’s wheels were the next best thing.

As a special edition model limited to just 44 examples worldwide with just five residing in the UK, when Dhyllan first approached Audi to purchase one, he was turned away. Deemed not worthy enough to buy one of its halo performance cars, he was deflated but not discouraged and, through sheer determination, he eventually managed to acquired one secondhand, albeit with only 700 miles on the clock.

How times have changed. Now, just five years later, and renowned as one of the UK’s foremost authorities in the sale of Audi RS models – specialising initially on high-specification RS3 models – it was not Dhyllan asking Audi to buy its new model, it was them contacting him! However, it wasn’t quite as simple as it sounds…

Having forged strong links with Crewe Audi over the years, Dhyllan was the dealer’s first port of call when it received its allocation of RS6 GT build slots to be offered to its best and most exclusive clientele. Unfortunately, even then, it wasn’t a done deal, as the dealer was only offering him a chance to apply for this exalted opportunity, as each person wanting a chance to obtain an RS6 GT was to undergo a meticulous vetting process by Audi themselves, requiring a overview of the customer’s Audi connections including a detailed list of previously-owned RS products in order to qualify.

Luckily, with over 30 of the firm’s top models notched into his proverbial bed post, as well as the uber rare R8 Performance Parts currently sitting on his driveway, Dhyllan made the cut and was offered one of the exclusive slots. 

When confirming a build, RS6 GT customers get to request, not specify, a paint colour, after which Audi will allocate you a colour, with your first choice in mind, but cannot guarantee which one, as there are only set numbers of each that will be built.

Costing a cool £178,000, you might expect to be able to choose your own colour, but that’s not how it works, apparently. The RS6 GT is limited to just 660 units worldwide, with the UK getting an allocation of 60 of that total. Of these 60, three different colour schemes are available: subtle options of Mythos black and Nardo grey, both with Ghost livery wrapping and matt black alloy wheels, and the more radical Akona White with Audi Sport’s red, black and grey Heritage livery wrapping and white alloys. It’s thought that around 60% of the final cars will be the wild white versions by the time production ends.

Obviously, you don’t buy a car like the RS6 GT to shrink into the background, so Dhyllan selected the white, not only to stand out, but also as it harks back to his early memories of the iconic IMSA racer that he loved as a child. But apart from the colour, what was it about the car that made Dhyllan stump up such an extraordinary amount for this limited edition super estate? Surely the RS6 GT is much more than just an expensive sticker pack, isn’t it? 

Based broadly on the RS6 GTO concept car from 2020 – a car inspired by the bonkers IMSA racecar of the 90s and built by 12 apprentices from Audi Sport’s Neckarsulm facility to celebrate 40 years of quattro four wheel drive technology – the 2025 RS GT features a host of bespoke parts and panels exclusively made for the model, focused solely on improving the car’s already stellar performance. 

While the concept’s wild rollcage, bucket seats and window nets has been ditched in favour of a more traditional, yet still sporty, road-going cockpit, the fitment of a wider, more aggressive front bumper combined with a lightweight bonnet and wider front wings constructed from carbon fibre is very similar to the concept. These work together with modified side skirts, a large ducktail rear spoiler and a unique rear diffuser to improve the car’s aerodynamics and add downforce to pin the car to the tarmac at speed. 

But it’s not just cosmetics, because there’s fully adjustable Audi Sport suspension under the wide arches and powerful ceramic brakes too. A reconfigured rear differential and bespoke six-spoke 22in wheels also aids traction and improves handling on the limit. 

Inside the car is a pair of gorgeous carbon-backed sports seats and swathes of Alcantara with red and bronze quilting, giving a luxurious yet purposeful air to the interior. The absence of a heavy panoramic glass roof, simply reinforces the GT’s sporting credentials even further.

But even all these upgrades, and the model’s strong emotional links to his childhood hero car, were only part of the reason that Dhyllan took the plunge. The final thing that tipped him over the edge was one of necessity – or, at least, necessity with a heavy dose of man maths…

You see, our fearless leader has recently become a father, and without a car with more than two seats to his name, it was high-time he bought himself a family car. Of course, there are many other options he could’ve chosen for his new family wagon, but as a moderator on the Audi RS Owners Club, an Audi sales specialists and a fellow passionate Audiphile himself, there were few models that ticked all the boxes like the RS6 GT. After all, who doesn’t need a 4.0-litre twin turbocharged V8 delivering 621bhp and 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds to do the school run?

The wait until the GT was delivered to Crewe Audi for collection was as excruciating as it was exciting, and when the day came for us to collect the car it was like Christmas had come early – so we jumped in with Dhyllan in his R8 and made our way to the dealership, eager to see this unique machine in the metal. 

As professional detailers by trade, we were keen to be the first people to touch and clean the car after delivery, so when we arrived at Audi, the GT was still wrapped up in its protective delivery covers, without receiving its pre-delivery inspection and usual pre-collection clean and preparation. 

It was strange seeing a brand new car like this and we were surprised at just how dirty the wheels were just from the delivery journey to the dealership. It was extremely satisfying to remove all of the protection material though, with the sound of the various zips and delivery packing adhesive being taken off making it a treat for AMSR fans! Once free of its defensive shackles, the GT could be admired in all its glory. It’s certainly an imposing machine and the lairy colourway makes the effect even more pronounced.
