But even this stellar spec was just the tip of the iceberg for the previous owner, as it has now been equipped with over £25,000 worth of carefully engineered aftermarket modifications that have raised the power output to a tarmac searing 591PS and 738Nm of torque.

Extracting the extra horses is an MRC Tuning Stage 3 calibration for both the engine and gearbox, along with supporting upgrades such as a forged engine build with Mahle pistons and conrods, a TTE-700 Evo EA855 hybrid turbocharger, an APR carbon-fibre intake system, Forge Motorsport intercooler and turbo elbow.

That’s nearly 200PS more than the factory TT RS and puts this compact coupé in the performance company of bona fide supercars.

This stratospheric rise in performance is delivered by a comprehensive suite of upgraded components totalling more than £38,500. These come on top of a host of must-have factory upgrades costing a further £9,000 in addition to standard TTRS specification. This makes this the most highly modified car ever sold by Automotive Addiction.

Providing the 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine with the brunt of its muscular performance is a TTE-700 hybrid turbocharger complete with supporting modifications of a Wagner front-mounted intercooler, 980cc injectors, enlarged boost outlet pipe, 4in turbo inlet and APR motorsport carbon-fibre intake system.

This latter upgrade combines with the fully de-catted Milltek Sport exhaust system to not only release the maximum power potential of the motor, but also endow it with a suitably steroidal soundtrack to match. 

Controlling this explosive potential is an APR Motorsport Stage 3 engine calibration with EMCS upgrade. This allows the user to switch between different engine maps allowing for varying engine parameters depending on the octane rating of the fuel.  

This suspension on this Audi TTRS Stage 3 has also been upgraded with the fitment of KW Variant 3 adjustable coilovers, giving sublime road-holding on both street and circuit and allowing the motor’s torrent of torque to be transmitted to the tarmac as efficiently as possible. 

20in 7-spoke rotor alloy wheels in gloss anthracite black sit at each corner and are wrapped in sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, while an APR Motorsport stage 3 calibration of the dual clutch gearbox to ensure lightning-fast acceleration and rifle-bolt gearchanges.

Having covered only 38,000 miles from new with just two previous enthusiast keepers, this demonic coupe has the looks to match its performance, coming enhanced with an aggressive carbon-fibre aero pack complete with bonnet vent, front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts, mirror caps and high-level rear spoiler all constructed from the lightweight weave.
