This Purple Silk BMW M4 Competition for sale is new into stock and has entered our innovative, industry-leading preparation process, which involves up to 100-hours of labour-intensive work when completed, designed to satisfy even the most pedantic automotive enthusiast. At every stage, our exacting standards must be met before this Tom Wrigley Stage 2 BMW M4 is released following preparation by Automotive Addiction.
The first phase of this process is our crucial pre-sale inspections, a comprehensive five-part assessment. This includes a deep-dive diagnostic inspection to verify mileage authenticity, review the launch-control counter, and identify any stored fault codes. This is followed by a 260-point mechanical inspection and road test to ensure that what lies beneath the paintwork meets the highest standards of mechanical integrity.
An in-depth 150-point visual inspection of all exterior and interior surfaces is then carried out, including bodywork, paintwork, wheels, glass, and interior materials. We also complete a rigorous paint depth analysis, allowing us to verify the originality of the paintwork and body panels. Finally, a service and maintenance inspection is conducted to determine whether any time or mileage-sensitive servicing, maintenance, or manufacturer recall items require attention before progressing to our professional pre-sale detailing work.

Prior to delivery, up to 60-hours of meticulous detailing preparation will be completed by our highly skilled, in-house professional detailers, each with over 10 years of experience. This £1,500 worth of work is carried out free of charge and will include a deep wheels-off decontamination cleanse, pre-paint correction preparation, brake disc centre refurbishment, exhaust system polishing, steam cleaning of intricate areas, and underbody and wheel arch rejuvenation. This will be followed by our signature multi-stage machine paint correction. Finished in exceptionally rare BMW Individual Purple Silk Metallic, this late-production M4 Competition combines £18,675 of factory optional extras with £32,000 of professionally commissioned performance modifications and Genuine BMW M Performance enhancements. Its Ultimate Package, Silverstone and Black Full Merino Leather Interior and Individual paintwork created an exceptional starting point, subsequently developed into a cohesive 587PS fast-road specification through recognised BMW and performance specialists. With approximately £115,000 invested across its original factory specification and subsequent development, this is a carefully considered interpretation of the ultimate road-focused F82 M4 Competition.
An Exceptionally Rare BMW Individual Specification. Purple Silk Metallic was not included among the regularly available BMW Individual colours offered to UK M4 Competition buyers, requiring this example to be commissioned through BMW’s special-order Individual programme. The finish changes considerably with the surrounding light, displaying vivid metallic violet highlights in direct sunlight and deeper plum, burgundy and near-black undertones in lower light. Inside, the Silverstone and Black Bicolour Full Merino Leather creates an equally distinctive cabin, extending across the seats, dashboard, doorcards and armrests. This rare combination is supported by BMW’s flagship £10,495 Ultimate Package, incorporating virtually every principal factory option, including M DCT, Icon Adaptive LED Headlights, 360-Degree Surround View, M Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon Surround Sound, Comfort Access and Driving Assistant.
Developed Beyond Headline Power Figures. Tom Wrigley Performance’s Stage 2 Engine Calibration produces a dyno-proven 587PS and 711NM, representing an increase of 137PS over the original M Competition output. A corresponding transmission calibration improves shift speed, responsiveness and torque management, allowing the 7-Speed M Double Clutch Transmission to work cohesively with the additional performance. Supporting intake, charge and exhaust upgrades improve airflow, strength and consistency under increased boost pressure, whilst the Insane Performance one-piece 4-pin crank hub provides an important preventative reliability upgrade for the S55 engine. The result is a significantly faster M4 developed to retain progressive power delivery and everyday drivability.
A Properly Engineered Fast-Road Chassis. A substantial proportion of the investment has been directed towards the way this M4 steers, stops and responds. KW Dynamic Damping Control coilovers retain the original Comfort, Sport and Sport+ adaptive suspension modes whilst providing improved body control and a more precise chassis response. Adjustable geometry components, uprated suspension bushes, strengthened drivetrain mounting and a bespoke Geo By Luke fast-road alignment work together to increase front-end accuracy, cornering stability and rear-axle traction. The braking system has also been comprehensively upgraded with fully floating front discs, Endless MX72 Plus pads, HEL braided lines and Castrol SRF Racing Brake Fluid. Genuine BMW M Performance 763M forged wheels in Frozen Gold Matt complete the setup, reducing rotational mass whilst retaining an OEM appearance. Together, these upgrades create a more precise and confidence-inspiring F82 rather than one focused solely on straight-line speed.
Confidence Through Build Provenance & Maintenance. After acquiring the car in April 2024, its previous keeper commissioned the complete programme of performance, chassis, braking and OEM+ enhancements through recognised BMW and performance specialists. This concentrated build history avoids the uncertainty often associated with modified cars developed through multiple owners over an extended period. Every fitted modification and enhancement has subsequently been inspected and verified in-house by Automotive Addiction, confirming its current presence, installation and component integrity. The vehicle is also supported by a comprehensive maintenance record comprising 10 services since 2018, beginning with its BMW Main Dealer Pre-Delivery Inspection and crucial Running-In Service before continuing through BMW Main Dealers and respected independent specialists. Its Engine, Spark Plugs, Brake Fluid, Air Filters and Rear Differential have all received the required attention, with its latest Engine Service completed using Motul 5W-40 Oil in July 2026 and further Brake Fluid and Air Filter maintenance to be completed prior to sale.

This M4 is currently presented at our Under Detail Preparation stage and is progressing through Automotive Addiction’s comprehensive 100-Hour Pre-Sale Preparation Process. This includes BMW-grade electronic diagnostics, a detailed 260-point mechanical inspection and road test, 150-point visual inspection and comprehensive specification, history and modification verification.
