With only one previous keeper and a VCDS (VAG-COM) ECU/TCU verified 13,900miles, this is THE BIGGEST specification Pre-Facelift RS3 we’ve ever offered, with £13,700 of factory-fit options. And that’s before we even mention the £3,000 of carefully selected aftermarket tuning extracting 441PS from its rally-inspired 5-cylinder engine.
It’s extremely rare we can truly use the term ‘fully loaded’ but in this instance we can – almost. Leaving the factory with every single conceivable optional extra except Driver Assistance Pack & Roof Rails, it features an eye-watering £13,700 of Factory Optional Extras, that includes the must-have £1495 Dynamic Package, with its Magnetic Suspension Control and Sports Exhaust System. The optional 19” Gloss black wheels, Red RS calipers and the Gloss-Black Styling Pack give this RS3 an unmistakable stance. It’s finished off perfectly with the highly desirable Panoramic Glass Sunroof £950 that omits sunlight and that 5-Cylinder Soundtrack into the cabin!
Open the engine bay, uber-rare factory-fit Carbon-Fibre Engine Covers £495, makes that 5-cylinder engine look even more special. Open the door, and you are greeted by the equally-as-rare Quattro Illuminated Door-Entry Sill Trims £300. Once you step inside, those SuperSport seats £795 are trimmed with Crescendo red stitching, complimented perfectly with the rare and sought after RS Design Package £895. Which ensures the cabin feels ‘RS’ special with Alcantara KneePads, Leather Door Armrests, Red Lined SeatBelts, Red Heater Vents & Exclusive RS3 Floor Matts all finished with contrast Crescendo red stitching.
Inside, every-single option was selected, including the Technology with Audi-Connect and the Comfort & Sound packages (£1,495, £1,150 and £300 respectively). Featuring Real-Time Google Earth display Satellite Navigation system with a wider 7-inch display and the superb Bang and Olufsen Sound System. Advanced Key, Audi Phone Box, Reverse Camera & High-Beam Assist (£1175 collectively) finished off the extensive array of options inside.
The aftermarket modifications were chosen with care, including an MRC Stage 1+ Remap with a dyno-proven 441-horsepower (the highest pre-facelift Stage 1 they’ve done to date). That’s breathing through a Revo Carbon-Fibre Intake and Milltek secondary-bypass pipes, bringing the performance level up, to even surpass the most powerful current hyper-hatch (420PS in the A45S). This iron-blocked monster must be heard to be believed! (Please see the end of our walk-around video) It’s a mechanical symphony of five-cylinder music, the like of which will probably never be repeated again.
It’s truly in mint condition, we were clutching at straws when writing the condition report for this car (on our website) we could only highlight 1 minuscule stone chip to the bonnet. The service history is comprehensive with Audi-Main Dealer, with big-ticket items like the haldex rear-differential, spark-plugs and brake-fluid serviced. This car has been truly cared for by its previous keeper and is genuinely THE BEST 6-year old RS3 we have ever had in terms of condition, we guarantee you will not find a better condition Pre-Facelift on the market.
Let’s talk about that colour, Panther Black Crystal must be seen in the flesh to be appreciated, containing Purple, Green & Silver Crystals. It is a colour that is forever changing colour in different lighting environments, in bright sunlight it looks like ‘Audi-Exclusive Merlin Purple’ whilst at night an almost aubergine finish emerges. Not to be confused with the more common ‘Mythos Black Metallic’ be rest assured this is a colour that would never become tiresome. If you see it for yourself, you’ll understand why we rate it so highly.
